Leadership is about more than managing tasks. It is about helping people reach their potential. I believe great organizations are built by investing in people. Throughout my career, I've been passionate about developing others through education, mentorship, and leadership development. From designing original professional development programs to facilitating nationally recognized leadership courses, my goal has always been the same: equip people with the knowledge, confidence, and skills to succeed. The programs below reflect my commitment to building confident leaders, strengthening teams, and creating learning experiences that make a lasting impact.
Leadership Development Initiative
A comprehensive leadership training program supporting the development of current and emerging EMS leaders.
Purpose
Field Training Officers do more than teach clinical skills, they shape future professionals. Effective leadership requires understanding not only how to perform the job, but how to communicate, build trust, navigate conflict, and adapt to the unique needs of each individual. Without these skills, misunderstandings can hinder learning, coaching becomes less effective, and team performance suffers.
My Role
I designed the comprehensive leadership training program including the curriculum, created each training session, instructional materials, facilitated classroom instruction, and created interactive activities and discussions to support participant engagement and practical application. I was responsible for translating leadership concepts into meaningful learning experiences that helped FTOs strengthen their coaching, communication, and development skills.
Impact
This training initiative improved leadership readiness by providing a standardized approach to supervisor development and strengthening communication, decision-making, and leadership skills. Successfully delivered a structured learning experience that prepared new supervisors to lead teams more effectively, build confidence in their roles, and apply practical leadership strategies in their daily responsibilities. Participant Reflections: "I appreciate the extra training for FTO’s. This is the first time we’ve gotten any official training and I want to keep it fun and open and enjoyable while also educational. "

Participant Reflections:
"My takeaway from this class was that the team can only work as fast as the 'slowest wolf in the pack.' If someone is struggling, there is no

necessary to meet your goal."
Leadership Training Creation & Facilitation: Learning Styles: Adapting Training for Effective Instruction
